2008 American Drum Line Association

Welcome to the American Drum Line Association Web Info Center!

The AMERICAN DRUM LINE ASSOCIATION operates mainly in Southern California and the Southwestern U.S. Please take the time to read all the information included in our web site and see what our association can offer your drum line. The schedule for the 2008 season has been posted to our Show Schedule page. Please note that all shows are currently full.

A ‘tentative’ show schedule is posted on the website 3 weeks in advance of the event. This will be updated to a ‘revised’ schedule 2 weeks in advance and a ‘final’ schedule one week in advance. The “official show schedule” will be available the day of the event when you arrive at the ‘check-in’ table at the host school.

The Pertinent Information and the Rules and Regulations have been updated for the new competitive season. Make sure you take note of the changes. The Drum Line Announcement Form is for the introduction of your drum line as they enter and exit the competitive area. This form is also available for you to download in advance. This form must be delivered to the announcer’s table prior to your group taking the floor.

Check our Scores Page. All the current competition results are posted to our scores archive as well as all past results. The New Gallery (once online) will contain photos from the current and past seasons. If you have ANY QUESTIONS please send email to the Association President, Greg Perry, at greg.perry@americandrumline.org.

The Association was established to offer your percussionist a choice of indoor venues from which to participate: Marching Drum Line, and Concert Percussion Ensemble. Regardless of their level, the opportunity to improve, perform, and compete is now available for them. The best interest of each musician is of paramount importance. Judging is done by qualified percussion professionals; many having ‘come up through the ranks’ themselves and many remain active in their percussion studies.

We have had twenty-five successful seasons. Participating schools have included: Jurupa MS, Riverside King HS, Pasadena City College, Garfield HS, St.Paul HS, Poway HS, Santa Barbara HS, UNLV, Villa Park HS and A.B. Miller HS to name just a few. Please feel free to call any of these directors for their opinion of the circuit.
